Parents and guardians are invited to Open House tomorrow night, September 5th!
Attached is our September school wide newsletter. **Please read it and pay special attention to the lunch and recess time changes.** Not only is this a change for Grandparent's lunch, but for the whole year. We need to ensure students have their full lunch time to eat. For this purpose, we added five minutes between lunches to allow the cafeteria staff time to wipe the tables and ensure the food line is replenished. Having a few extra minutes to do this will ensure the cafeteria staff is available to assist our students through the line in a timely manner thus allowing students more time to eat. This does push upper grades to a later lunch time. Please remember we are serving free breakfast. Our upper grades are also prepared to allow students to have a snack time due to a later lunch. With free breakfast and a snack option for the upper grades we believe the new schedule is the best option. Enjoy your three day weekend; we will see students on Tuesday!

Grandparents are invited on September 6th!
We have implemented common expectations this year. Our goal is for students to get consistent behavior expectations from all adults in the school while in common areas. We will talk more about this at Open House on September 5th.
Don't miss out on the memories! Order your yearbook and save your digital receipt!
The transportation department is working through the kinks with its new My Ride bus routing software, including improving bus timings. Please note that the software has a Bus Location feature, but enabling it would require additional equipment on each bus. The district is assessing the suitability and effectiveness of the new software during this academic year to determine if additional taxpayer funds should be invested in tracking individual buses and student onboarding and offboarding. We appreciate your patience as we transition to the new system, work to improve bus timings, and explore the system's features.
Instructions on using My Ride to obtain bus route information is at https://www.bps-ok.org/page/district-transportation
Classes resume today, 8/15/2024. Please note that our new scheduling software has most routes starting 15-20 minutes earlier than in the past. Parents can look up a student's bus route with MyRide; see https://www.bps-ok.org/page/district-transportation
