At the baseball-themed Bruins of the Year event on April 18, first grade teacher Monta Hymel was honored as the Hoover Elementary School Teacher of the Year. She was introduced by student Teddy McNall.
Fourth grade teacher Marissa Hastreiter was honored as the Hoover Elementary School Rising Star Teacher.
Ali Veach was honored as the Classified Person of the Year for Hoover Elementary School.
